Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?
Whatever is comfortable.  Our dress would be described as ‘smart casual’, but with more emphasis on the casual than the smart!  We figure God’s concerned with our heart more than our clothes.

What happens when I arrive?
The meeting starts informally at 10:45 with a very relaxed reception where guests, friends, children and church family all mingle and are chatting, enjoying complimentary drinks, croissants, bagels and snacks in a relaxed atmosphere.  It is very easy to slip in with a degree of anonymity.

How long is the meeting?
The meeting would normally end between 12:30 and 12:45pm.  Afterwards many will enjoy more food and drink and some may leave with newly-found friends to go to cafes, restaurants or homes for lunch!

What type of music is it?
We use a combination of keyboards, acoustic and electric guitars, drums and a vocal team for a contemporary rock/pop/soul-fusion sound.  You can certainly appreciate and enjoy the music: it’s uplifting, and God-worshipping.

Do I have to sing or join in?
Only if you want.  You’re welcome to simply enjoy the atmosphere, to sit throughout or join in as you wish.

Are there lots of young people there?
There are young professionals, students, singles, recently married couples, thirty- and forty-somethings and a few retired people.  We are a cultural mix, primarily Londoners from diverse backgrounds with big hearts for Ealing and London.

Who are you affiliated to?
We are a non-denominational, Bible-based charismatic church, sometimes described as part of the new 'emerging churches’.  We subscribe to the theological statement of the Evangelical Alliance.

Do I have to give money to the church?
Our voluntary giving (offering) in our meeting is for those of us who are committed to LifeGiving Church and our friends who support our aims.  There is no expectation on our guests to give.  We want to give to you: we want you to leave with much more than when you came!
